What's new

You can now undo and redo recent changes while building a form or editing a workflow. Use the new buttons or Ctrl/Cmd+Z to undo; press Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+Z or Ctrl+Y to redo. You can still undo or redo recent changes after reloading the editor.

Preview now sits beside the page navigator and the new undo and redo buttons.

Google Sheets is now available to everyone who can manage integrations and workflows. Connect your Google account to send form responses to a spreadsheet automatically.

Fomr requests access only to spreadsheets created by or explicitly used with Fomr. It cannot browse your other Google Drive files or spreadsheets.

Fixed an issue where finishing a form could leave separate Completed and Partial rows for the same response. You’ll now see one Completed row.

Your multi-page forms now keep the Back button from briefly dimming as respondents move to the next page, making transitions feel smoother.

Improved publishing so the button shows progress until your form is ready, then changes to Share and opens the sharing options immediately.

Fomr now loads faster and feels smoother across the board — especially in the editor, where opening forms, editing pages, and browsing results all respond more quickly. You might also spot our new animated logo while things load.

You can now download a branded QR code for any form. Open Configure → Share link to preview and download a print-ready PNG in Fomr’s primary color with the Fomr icon in the center—ready for posters, packaging, slides, and event signage.

We also refreshed the welcome email sequence and related Help Center pages so the guidance matches the current editor, including the Results tab and the latest paths for creating, publishing, sharing, and managing responses.

Ask binary questions with the new Yes/No component. It always shows exactly two answers, and you can rename the labels right on the canvas — turn Yes and No into “Agree” and “Disagree”, or anything else that fits your question.

Yes/No works with auto-jump, default values, and answer piping, and your custom labels carry through to responses, exports, and Google Sheets. It is available to all users on every plan.

Hidden values are now available for share links and embeds. Declare keys for a form, pass values through URL parameters or data-fomr-param-* embed attributes, and capture them with each response so campaign or customer context stays attached to submissions.

Fomr checks Hidden value setup before publishing, so undeclared values can be fixed before respondents see the form.

You can now personalize forms with answers people gave earlier in the form. Type @ in supported editor text, choose an earlier answer, and reuse it in later questions, descriptions, choice labels, placeholders, or thank you messages.

Fomr checks answer pipes before publishing, so broken references can be fixed before respondents see the form.

You can now switch a form component to another compatible type from the component settings panel.

Use it when you picked the right kind of question but want a different presentation, such as changing Short Answer to Email, Dropdown to Multi Choice, Checkboxes to Multiselect, or Rating to Linear Scale.

You can now set a Default Value for supported question components, giving respondents a prefilled answer they can keep, edit, or clear.

Default values work in Preview and published forms, support fixed and relative Today/Now date-time defaults, and are available on all plans.

Setting up a custom domain is now simpler, and Fomr keeps your domain status accurate on its own.

What’s changed:

• One record to add - Point a single CNAME record at cname.fomr.io and you’re done. The separate verification TXT record is no longer needed.
• Verification starts automatically - As soon as you add a custom domain, Fomr begins checking your DNS and keeps trying for up to 2 days, so most domains verify without you doing anything else. You can still trigger a check yourself with Request verification.
• Always-accurate status - Fomr now re-checks verified domains on a schedule. If a domain stops pointing at Fomr, its status updates to Failed so you can spot and fix issues quickly.

Your existing custom domains keep working — no action needed.

You can now hide a question or a whole page from your live form without deleting it. It’s a quick way to pause a question you’re not ready to ask, temporarily drop a page from the flow, or set something aside while you keep working on the rest of the form.

Hidden items are removed when you publish, so respondents never see them, and any answers you’ve already collected for those questions stay intact. Unhide whenever you’re ready to bring them back.

The form editor has a new full-screen building experience. The canvas now fills the workspace, and the tools you need sit in floating panels that stay out of the way while you work.

What’s changed:

• More room to build - The Build view no longer squeezes your form between fixed sidebars. Pages, components, design controls, and question settings float above the canvas instead.
• A faster tool dock - Open Pages, Components, or Design from the new dock on the left side of the canvas. Only one panel opens at a time, so the editor stays focused.
• Settings where you need them - Select a question to edit its settings in a compact floating panel near the selected item, then close it when you want the canvas back.
• Page controls on the canvas - Move between pages with the new page navigator, rename the current page inline, and keep your place without opening the page list.
• Easier component discovery - Components are grouped by type, color-coded, and searchable, making it quicker to find the right question or content block.
• Reliable panel state - The editor remembers the open panel in the URL, so refreshes and shared editor links reopen in the same context.
• Better smaller-screen behavior - Panels and settings now adapt more gracefully on tablets and narrow browser windows.

This is a major layout refresh, but the core editing flow stays familiar: your existing forms, pages, questions, design settings, workflows, previews, and responses are still in the same editor, with a cleaner workspace around them.

Google Sheets workflows now sync submitted timestamps and date/time answers as raw strings. Dates and date-times keep the stored UTC value, while time answers are written as plain time text.

Google Sheets workflows are now available in Fomr. You can connect a Google account, build a workflow from a form, and append each completed submission to a spreadsheet row.

What’s included:

• Integrations page - Connect, reconnect, and disconnect Google Sheets accounts from the app sidebar.
• Workflow editor - Add a form-completed trigger and Google Sheets action from the form editor.
• Server-side activation - Fomr validates the workflow graph, plan limits, and connected Google account before enabling a workflow.
• Spreadsheet creation - Name a new spreadsheet once from the workflow action, then open the created sheet from the settings panel.
• Results-style columns - Sheets include Submitted at and form answers, with question labels kept in sync from Fomr metadata.
• Execution tracking - Review workflow executions, inspect action statuses, and retry failed actions from the workflow.
• Plan downgrade handling - Free workspaces keep one enabled workflow per form; extra enabled workflows are paused if the workspace downgrades.

New accounts now receive a short onboarding email sequence with practical links for creating a first form, starting from templates, publishing, and collecting responses.

You can also manage optional product and onboarding emails from Settings → Account with the new Marketing emails toggle, or unsubscribe from the footer of any marketing email. Transactional emails, such as verification and form submission notifications, continue to work separately.

We’ve opened a public Fomr Slack community for questions, feedback, feature ideas, and product updates.

Team members are now live in Fomr. You can invite people to your organization, give them the right role, and work from the same shared workspace without passing around one login.

This is a big step for teams using Fomr for client intake, HR forms, event registrations, surveys, internal requests, and other work that needs more than one person involved. Forms, responses, templates, assets, domains, and organization settings now belong to an organization instead of being trapped inside a single person’s account.

What’s included:

• Invite teammates by email - Admins can invite new members from Settings → Team members and choose their role before sending the invite.
• Admin and member roles - Admins can manage team members, domains, billing, and organization settings. Members can build, publish, and manage forms without access to those admin controls.
• Pending invite management - Admins can see pending invites, resend them when someone missed the email, or cancel invites that should no longer be used.
• Role changes - Admins can update a member’s role later, so access can change as responsibilities change.
• Block, unblock, and remove - Admins can temporarily block access, restore access, or remove a member from the organization.
• Organization switching - People who belong to multiple organizations can switch workspaces from their organization settings without signing out.
• Safer admin protection - Fomr prevents an organization from losing its last active admin.

Invited teammates accept from the email link. They need to sign in with the invited email address and verify that email before joining the organization. Once accepted, Fomr switches them into the organization automatically.

Team members are available on all plans, including Free. See the team members help guide for setup steps and role details.

Responses now show questions from the latest published form version first, in the same order respondents see them. Older questions that still have saved answers are kept at the end with a small Old label, making it easier to review current responses without losing historical data.

You can now manage page action buttons in one place from the Theme tab, then override them on individual pages when needed. Set default back button visibility, arrow display, and button alignment once, and let the rest of your multi-page form inherit those settings.

When a page needs different behavior, you can enable an override for that page, customize it there, and save those changes back as the new default. AI-generated multi-page forms now also start with back buttons enabled on eligible pages, so respondents can move through longer flows more naturally.

You can now work with Partial Responses in the Responses table. Partial entries are included by default, clearly labeled, filterable, and show the answers captured before someone stopped filling out the form.

Forms also silently save respondent progress and restore answers in the same browser session if someone refreshes or comes back before submitting.

You can now create new forms with AI. Just describe what you need, and Fomr will generate a form draft for you.

It’s a faster way to go from idea to first draft, with a form you can review, edit, and publish when you’re ready.

Add images directly to your forms with the new Image component.

Choose an image from your asset library, upload a new one, or paste an image URL. You can also add an optional caption and adjust the layout so the image fits the design of your form.

You can now add clickable links to text blocks, question labels and descriptions, choice text, and thank-you messages. This makes it easier to guide respondents to terms, resources, contact pages, or next steps without adding extra clutter to your form.

Links can open in the same tab or a new tab, so you can decide whether people stay in the form flow or continue somewhere else.

You can now change your account email from account settings.

If your session is too old for a protected change, you’ll be asked to confirm your password and then continue.

Destructive actions in the form editor now use faster inline confirmations instead of interrupting your flow with full dialogs. When you remove a page, component, option, or editor image, you’ll see a compact confirmation right where you clicked.

This makes common cleanup actions feel lighter while still adding a clear extra step before something is removed.

You can now let respondents select more than one answer in Multiple Choice and Checkbox questions, making it easier to build “choose all that apply” forms without forcing people into a single option.

We also updated form responses so multi-select answers are saved and shown correctly in submissions. Auto-jump remains focused on single-selection questions, which keeps multi-select forms more predictable for respondents.

You can now sign in or create an account with Google, making it faster to get started and easier to use the sign-in method you prefer.

If we can match your existing account automatically, Google can be added as another way to sign in without creating a separate account. We also made account-related messages clearer during sign-in, so it’s easier to understand what to do next.

You can now unpublish forms from the quick menu in the forms list and from Configure → Access in the editor.

We also added a confirmation dialog before unpublishing, so it’s easier to avoid accidental changes.

We’ve refreshed the app layout to make everyday navigation feel cleaner and easier to use. The updated sidebar, header, and profile menu help you move between forms, templates, assets, domains, billing, and settings with less friction.

This update also brings a more polished overall interface across the app, with better behavior on smaller screens and a clearer path to the templates gallery.

Browsing templates is now more visual. Public templates now show generated preview thumbnails across the website, so you can quickly see a template’s layout before opening it or using it.

We’ve also started automatically filling in previews for existing public templates, so more of the template library will gain thumbnails over time.

We’ve launched a public template gallery with 300+ free form templates you can browse, preview, and use right away. Templates are organized into categories so it’s easier to find a solid starting point for contact forms, surveys, registrations, applications, and more.

You can also search the gallery to quickly narrow down results and jump straight to the template you need. Each template now has its own detail page, so you can preview it before creating your own version.

You can now create a form with AI by describing what you need in plain English. Fomr turns your prompt into a ready-to-edit form with the right fields, structure, and validation in seconds.

It’s a faster way to get started when you know what you want but don’t want to build everything manually. Once the draft is generated, you can fine-tune it in the editor and publish when you’re ready.

Sharing your forms just got easier. After publishing a form, you’ll now see a share popover with your form link ready to copy. No more navigating through menus to find your share URL after working in your dashboard.

We’ve also made publishing more reliable, so you can be more confident your latest edits are included when your form goes live.

We’ve made significant performance improvements across the app and embedded forms.

Faster app loading - You can get to your forms more quickly, and sign-in screens now feel faster and smoother.

Faster embeds - If you embed forms on your website, they now appear more quickly for your visitors, especially on slower connections.

Fixed an issue where users could encounter errors when their session expired while using the app. Expired sessions now send you back to sign in more gracefully, without confusing error messages.

To get started, visit the new Templates section in your dashboard or look for the “New template” option when creating a new form.

You can now duplicate any form with a single click. This makes it easy to create variations of existing forms without starting over from your forms dashboard.

Perfect for when you need to:

• Create A/B test versions of a form
• Make seasonal or event-specific variations
• Reuse a form structure with different content
• Create backup copies before making major changes

To duplicate a form, open the form settings and select “Duplicate form”. Your new copy will include all fields, pages, design settings, and configurations from the original.

We’ve added new ways to view your forms in the dashboard. You can now switch between different view modes to find the layout that works best for you.

The new card view shows form preview thumbnails, making it easier to visually identify your forms at a glance. Your view preference is saved automatically, so you’ll always see your forms the way you like.

Reviewing form responses just got easier. Click on any submission row to open a detailed side panel showing all response data in a clean, readable format.

The new drawer view gives you a full picture of each response at a glance, making it faster to review and process your form submissions.

Fixed an issue where embedded forms could display incorrectly at certain screen sizes. Widgets and form elements now scale properly across all devices, ensuring your embedded forms look great whether viewed on desktop, tablet, or mobile.

You can customize the share link preview and SEO options for your forms. This allows you to control how your form appears when shared on social media, such as LinkedIn or Facebook, or indexed by search engines.

Edit things like the title, description, favicon, and link preview images (Open Graph images).

To customize your link preview, go to the “Settings” tab of your form and select “Link preview & SEO” option.

You can now redirect users to a different URL after completing a form. This is useful for directing users to a “thank you” page, another form, or any other URL.

We’ve added a new feature that allows you to delete unwanted responses from your forms.

To delete a response, go to the Responses tab of your form, select one or more responses in the table, and click the “Delete responses” button.

We’ve changed the way dates and times are displayed in the app to make them more user-friendly.

If a date is less than 2 days ago, it will show in a relative format (e.g., “2 hours ago”). If it’s more than 2 days ago, it will show the full date and time. You can also hover over the relative date to see the full date and time.

Fomr Help Center is now live!

You can now host your forms on your own custom domain, or use a fomr.io subdomain with a custom link path.

Your forms stay secure on custom domains automatically, so getting set up takes just a few clicks.

Go to the Share tab in the form editor or visit the domains page to add your custom domain.

Having a generous free plan is our commitment to the community which also helps us grow through the word of mouth. However, it also attracts some bad actors who misuse the platform.

To address this, we have introduced a report abuse form that allows you to report any misuse of the platform. Help us make the internet a better place if you come across a suspicious form in the wild.

We’ve added a new account recovery flow to help you regain access to your account in case you forget your password. Go to the forgot password page, enter your email address, and follow the instructions to reset your password.

You can now change your password in the account settings.

We have made several improvements to the editor to enhance reliability and performance.

You can now close forms on Fomr and prevent new responses anytime.

Simply toggle the access option to open/close your form, or schedule form opening or closing at a precise date and time.

Embed your forms in a popup with the new popup embed option. This allows you to display forms on your website without taking up space on the page.

Choose between a popup in the center of the screen or the bottom right corner.

Add any form to your website or blog with a simple code snippet and start collecting responses with a form that looks like it belongs there.

Choose between a standard embed, which adds the form to your page organically, or a full screen, to host a form on a separate page of your website.

We moved the placeholder editing from the sidebar to the input field directly in the editor. To edit the placeholder simply select the input in the editor and start typing.

Along with this change, we also improved the submit button label editing. Just select the text copy withing the button to customize it.
