How the survey question generator works
Tell the generator what you want to learn — "customer satisfaction for an online store", "employee engagement for a remote team", "feedback after a workshop" — and it drafts a complete set of survey questions for that topic. It mixes question types the way a survey methodologist would: rating scales for measurable attitudes, multiple choice for categories, a 0-10 scale where an NPS-style question fits, and one or two open-ended questions at the end for the "why".
Every question is written to be neutral and specific. No leading questions ("How much do you love our amazing support?"), no double-barreled questions ("How satisfied are you with our price and quality?"), and no jargon your respondents wouldn't use. You can remove any question you don't need before using the list.

What makes a good survey question?
Whether you use the generator or write your own, the same rules apply:
- Ask about one thing at a time. "How satisfied are you with our delivery speed?" beats "How satisfied are you with our delivery and packaging?" — if someone is happy with one but not the other, their answer is meaningless.
- Stay neutral. "What did you think of the event?" invites honest answers. "How great was the event?" doesn't.
- Use balanced scales. A 1-5 satisfaction scale should have as many negative options as positive ones, with a neutral midpoint.
- Put easy questions first. Start with quick ratings and multiple choice, and leave open-ended questions for the end — respondents who have already invested a minute are far more likely to finish. Our guide on increasing response rates covers this in depth.
- Keep it short. Every question you add lowers your completion rate. If you won't act on the answer, cut the question.
