Date

Type key: date_picker. Renders a calendar picker for a single date, displayed in the chosen date_format. In the editor this is the Date block.

A question: the question rules apply, and it can sit in a layout row column.

Defaults and rules

• The defaults are date_format: "DD/MM/YYYY" and an open date_range, with min and max both null.
• date_range.min and date_range.max are ISO 8601 timestamps such as 2026-01-31T00:00:00Z; null leaves a bound open.
• default_value is { "type": "static", "value": "2026-01-31T00:00:00Z" } for a fixed date, or { "type": "relative" } for the day the respondent opens the form. A default outside date_range is ignored.
